How it Works
Terms & Conditions
The CNY Tuesdays (“CNYT”) mission is to advance community programming that promotes the needs, interests, education, and safety of the area’s population in the counties of the Syracuse, NY Designated Market Area and adjacent counties, including but not limited to:
Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Seneca, and Tompkins
CNYT will award a $2,000 grant each week to a 501(c)3 and/or non-profit organization that addresses the needs of area residents. The program aims to provide funds to groups that advance charitable, religious, artistic, and educational purposes in the target counties. Grants may be considered in areas outside of the target counties at the discretion of the finalist selection committee.
Grants will be awarded weekly and announced on NBC 3 News. Grant nominations will be accepted on a rolling basis through cnytuesdays.com. Ten finalist organizations will be selected each month of the program by a committee of members representing Weitsman Shredding, LLC, NBC 3 News, CBS5 and MediaBrush Marketing. The number of committee members may increase at the discretion of the program. Grant recipients will then be selected by popular vote on cnytuesdays.com. No purchase is necessary to enter.
CNYT is solely funded by personal contributions from Mr. Adam Weitsman, owner of Weitsman Shredding, LLC which is located in Owego, NY. Mr. Weitsman is dedicated to helping these communities and considers it a personal responsibility and privilege.
In consideration of a grant from the CNYT, any nominee, participant or recipient agrees to protect, defend, indemnify and hold harmless the CNYT, its organizers, underwriters, volunteers and affiliates, from and against any demand and causes of action of any kind and character, including but not limited to the amount of judgments, penalties, interest, court costs and legal fees incurred by the CNYT arising in favor of any party, including claims, liens, debts, personal injuries, death or damage by enumeration, all other claims or demands of every character occurring or in any way incident to, in connection with or arising directly from this grant or the use thereof.
